I purchased this for my grandson who has many similiar "toys" he uses outdoors. Once he opened his gift inserted the batteries the entire family was amazed at how easily the controls were to use. My grandson by the way is an adult so the big guys or girls will have fun with this. For the price this product is well worth it; it looks as if it cost a lot more. Quiet, great lights easy controls and just being fun makes a perfect gift. ESPECIALLY for indoors.

I've been wanting to purchase a remote control helicopter for a while now but was afraid to because they seem to break easily. One day I spotted the Tigerjet helicopter at Best Buy and figured I'd buy it and hope for the best.

Be sure to have some batteries available. The Tigerjet takes a lot of batteries (six AA) and they are not included. Once the batteries are installed you hook the 'copter to the remote control with a little wire that is hidden in a slot. It charges for about an hour. The charging light starts out red, and as the helicopter becomes fully charged the light will gradually turn yellow and finally green. Once it is green you are ready to fly!

My first time flying was a disaster. I can't say how many times I crashed the helicopter. I'd recommend practicing in an area that doesn't have a lot of hard surfaces until you get the hang of the controls. Despite the many crashes, this helicopter is still going with all pieces intact! The downside is... Read more

This is actually the Syma S107 helicopter. Oddly, if you try to buy this labeled as a Syma 107 it is highly likely you'll end up with a knock-off clone (with related problems) rather than the real thing. The Tigerjet I bought is a real Syma 107 according to the sites I've read describing how to tell the difference.

My 7 yr old daughter and I love playing with this. It is surprisingly powerful for its size and is very stable in flight. We've crashed it many times and it is still flying fine on all its original equipment. It is supposed to run for about 5 minutes per charge, and while I haven't timed it, I think it runs longer than that. (And toward the end it will give you a couple extra minutes of hover a few inches off the ground until the battery is finally dead.)

The helicopter will charge either via a little plug from the RC control unit, or with an included USB cable hooked up to a computer.

That was the Pro, now for the CON -- The Syma... Read more
